District Deputy, Sir Knight Charles Howard congratulates Grand Knight, Sir Knight Joseph Syms on receiving the Star Council Award for the Fraternal Year 2008-2009, the highest distinction available to a local Knights of Columbus Council.
A total of 1,425 councils throughout the United States earned the Star Council Award. These councils, led by their Grand Knights, conducted the required charitable and fraternal programs in the "Surge with Service" areas, and also achieved their membership and insurance quotas. The Knights of Council 10925 are to be commended for their generous donation of time, money and service in earning this prestigious award.

Trunk N Treat Oct 24, 2009

Congratulations and a big Thank You to Sir Knight Bill Cockayne, Eleanor Lara and all the members of the Trunk N Treat Committee for the tremendous event they staged on Oct 24, 2009.

The weather was mild and the atmosphere was festive as hundreds of little Trunk N Treaters filled St. Patrick’s square and parking lot for an early start on Halloween. They got to try their luck at a dozen game booths at which everyone was a winner. Music from a DJ filled the air and even inspired a few brave souls to start dancing. Medals were awarded to the Most Original and Most Humorous of the many cars that were decorated for the evening. The bake sale featured many delicious home made cakes, muffins, and cookies while the stalwart kitchen crew kept those great nachos and chili dogs coming all night long! A special thanks to the Squires for selling churros and popcorn and the teens who staffed the nachos and hot dogs tables and several of the game booths.

Trunk N Treat 2009 was so successful that Council 10925 was able to donate $100 to the Faith Formation Program and $1200 to the St. Patricks Building Fund from the net proceeds.

Intellectually Challenged Drive Successful Again!

Under the leadership of Chairman Joe Ko and Grand Knight Joe Syms the St. Patricks Intellectually Challenged "Tootsie Roll" Drive was successful once again this year. Volunteer Knights asked for contributions from the St. Patrick’s community on the first two weekends of October and followed with solicitations at the Visterra Credit Union and Albertsons on Pigeon Pass Road. In all, the drive netted approximately $1500 which will be donated to the Moreno Valley Resource Center.
