Knights Present Check to Moreno Valley Resource Center

St Patricks Knights of Columbus Council 10925 presented a check in the amount of $1,924 to the Moreno Valley Resource Center on Friday, 15 February 2008. The check represents the proceeds of the "Tootsie Roll" drive conducted during October 2007. The knights collected donations at several locations, including St. Patricks Church, Albertsons Grocery Store on Pigeon Pass Road, Moreno Valley and the Visterra Credit Union on Cactus Ave, Moreno Valley.

The Moreno Valley Resource Center, on Heacock St, Moreno Valley, provides long-term developmental services to adults with developmental disabilities who are in need of full-time programming to ensure the development and maintenance of functional skills required for self-advocacy, community integration, employment and self-care. The individual's needs are of the highest priority, and a low consumer to staff ratio ensures appropriate on-on-one instruction.

Shown in the picture are Grand Knight Tim Mahar and MR Drive Chairman John Cundiff presenting the check to the Resource Center Director Melissa Cross accompanied by MVRC consumers Joseph O'Connor and Catrina Pitallos.
